Privacy Policy
Last updated June 2026
This Privacy Policy describes exactly what data Clockwise collects, why we collect it, where it lives, and the controls you have over it.
What We Collect
We keep data collection minimal and tied to running your bots. We collect: your email address; an optional display name if you choose to provide one; the name of each bot you create and the Python script you upload for it; and runtime information such as your bot's status (running, stopped, errored) and its error logs.
Your uploaded script may contain a Discord bot token or other secrets. We treat the script as sensitive because of this. Please do not put secrets in your script that your bot does not actually need to run.
Why We Collect It
We use your data only to operate the service: to authenticate you, to store and run your bot, to show you its status and logs, to debug problems, and to keep the platform secure and stable.
We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not build profiles of you for marketing.
Where Your Data Is Stored
Your data is stored in Google Firebase. We use per-user database rules so that each account's data is scoped to that account and is not readable by other users through the application.
We are actively working toward encryption-at-rest for bot tokens. Until that is fully in place, please understand that tokens are stored as part of your script, and treat your token accordingly. You can rotate your bot token in the Discord Developer Portal at any time, and we recommend doing so if you ever suspect exposure.
We Do Not Sell Your Data
We do not sell your personal data, your code, or your bot information to anyone. We do not share it with third parties except as needed to run the service (such as our infrastructure provider, Google Firebase) or where required by law.
If that ever changes, we will update this policy and tell you before it takes effect.
Service Providers
Clockwise relies on Google Firebase for authentication, database, and hosting. Your data is processed by Google as part of providing those services, under Google's own security and privacy practices.
We limit the providers we use and choose them to keep your data safe.
Your Controls and Deletion
You are in control of your data. From your account settings you can delete your bots, your scripts, and your entire account. Deleting your account removes your associated data from our active systems.
Residual copies may persist briefly in routine backups before they age out on our normal cycle. If you want confirmation that your data has been removed, you can contact us at support@clockwise.cv.
Data Retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active and your bots exist. When you delete a bot, its script and logs are removed from active systems; when you delete your account, your account data is removed.
We retain only what we need to operate the service and meet any legal obligations.
Beta and Changes to This Policy
Clockwise is in beta, and our data practices will mature as the platform does, including the move to encryption-at-rest for tokens. We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect those improvements.
When we make material changes, we will update the effective date and, where reasonable, notify you. Continuing to use Clockwise after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
